Can I use a skyplus box as a freeview box and still record any tv???

Question

I want to know, as I have a sky freeview card in a normal sky box, if I replace this with a sky plus box will I still be able to record any tv show and pause live tv etc etc??

Only with a SKY+ subscription.

no you cant, sky + is a service that is set up by sky and they allow you to have it work from there end, so if you stoped paying your £10 a month for sky plus they would stop you from  using it . you can pay for a yearly sky + subscription and then unplug your phone line from your sky + box and use it that way but its not really cost effective.

Yes you can use it like a digital PVR but you might loose some of the Sky+ functions. Also Sky do not charge the £10 fee to use Sky+ anymore, they dropped that charge a while back.
