Can I use a whole house fan as an attic fan?

The whole house fans according to scec's move 3 or 4 times as much air for the same amount of electricity. Thanks in advance.

  2. If your attic is a used family room, then there should not be any trouble.  If the attic is NOT to be used, but you are trying to get air flow up there during the hot summer months, then it would be useless.

    There is a Radiant Barrier Spray that is being used on homes that are already built.  Other forms of this product are used with new home building.

    I've attached one link to read up on it's characteristics and uses.  Google "Radiant Barrier"  to get name of a supplier in your area.  This product has been getting some very good reviews.
