Can I use a wireless usb adapter on my dish network box.?

I need to have it connected to a phone line or a internet connection to eliminate a 5 dollar a month charge. I was wondering if I can get one of the small usb wireless adapters that look like a thumb drive, and use that to connect to my wireless network, or if I need to have it directly connected to my router. Thanks for any help.

You can buy wireless phone adapters and they work just fine.

If you want an Internet connection instead, you will need to buy a power-line ethernet adaptor.
