I recently purchased a very nice RC boat. One thing that I noticed about it is that it doesn't hold a charge for very long. So, I thought I could remedy that issue if I had 2 batteries on hand. So here is my question: Could I use an 8.4 volt NiCad battery in a boat that came with a 7.2v NiCad, or is the voltage higher enough to fry the boat?

  1. Instead going for a higher voltage, go for higher rating. It should have a rating on it measured in amps or more likely milliamps 1800ma. Visit the website firstelectronics.biz to get the information regarding all these types of batteries.
