I am interested in receiving HD radio. Can I use an XM radio to receive the HD radio signal? If so, can I receive it if I have not subscribed to XM radio?

  1. Xm radio operates at totally different frequencies (think in terms of the difference between am and FM on your radio) than HD radio does. So nope..not gonna happen

  2. The other answer is correct. I'm just going to add that, if faced with a choice, I'd go XM or Sirius (XM is my preference). Unfortunately, the geniuses in charge of the HD project kind of blew it. It's not all it's cracked up to be - and I, unfortunately, don't think it ever will be.

  3. NO!!! You must have a HD Radio to get HD Radio. XM Radio is only for XM Radio. You can get a HD Radio online or at walmart, bestbuy, radio shack etc... to tell you the truth, XM Radio is better then HD Radio.
