Can I use an indoor bike trainer with a beach cruiser style bike?

I have a beach cruiser on my lanai and would like to use it more often than I have been. Does anyone know if an indoor bike trainer would work on this type of bike, or is there a specific trainer made for these? Not really concerned with adding tension to it yet, just wanna get back in the swing of things, just enough to brake a sweat and expand my momentum.

Serious answers would be greatly appreciated please.

  1. Yes.  Trainers are designed to accept the vast majority of bicycles. Follow the instructions that come with it carefully. Buy one that attaches to the rear wheel. Wind and magnetic resistance are the oldest designs and very reliable. They also make significant noise. Fluid trainers feel more like real road riding and less noisy, but cost more and are slightly less reliable. And buy or make a front wheel support. It will level the bike out and make you feel more at ease. A couple of old phone books might work.

  2. that sounds like a fun idea ha i would to know to but i think you can with any bike
