There are no cricket stores anywhere near me so I was wondering if I could just use a baseball for recreational play.

  1. I can't see why not, if it's only for friendly/recreational use. We always used tennis balls or puddox balls at school, as it was considered dangerous to use real cricket balls with kids playing.

  2. dont use a baseball  use a tennis ball baseblls might be hard but they cant bounce if you want a hard ball that can bounce use a tennis ball with electric tape on it

  3. U sure can... But make sure ur bat is knocked in first just incase!!

  4. Since there are lot of difference between cricket ball and base ball ball, the ball used in base ball cannot be considered as replacement for cricket ball.  Cricket ball is much harder and heavier as compared to the ball used in base ball.

  5. You could but I imagine that the balls are not going to last too long.  Cricket balls are designed to be bowled in the pitch while baseballs with their wrap-around seam aren't.  But if don't have any choice in the matter, what the heck ...
