Can I use bus,train or car to Qingdao from Seoul?

Question

I'm going to leave Seoul soon but airlines are too expensive from Korea to anywhere. Is there any other way then the ferry to get to Qingdao or Shanghai straight from where I am now?If you knew,could you please tell me the way to get to those places/to get the services.

Ferry or airlines are your only option unless you can get a visa to go through North Korea, which I seriously doubt.  Try using Chinese web sites to get your air tickets.  They are usually cheaper than English language sites.  I used an agency called Cosmo Tours and they got me really good deals on flights while I was in China.  They may be able to help you with flights to China.  It won't hurt to ask.  This is the link for the agent that I talked to: [e-mail].

I highly doubt you can use roads/railways to get anywhere out of the country from South Korea as you'd have to get through North Korea. Even freight trains do no get through. Try priceair.co.kr for cheap airfare.
