So this may seem like a simple question, but I wanted to make sure.

Ok so I was asked to bring a dessert to a labor day party I'm attending. I found this recipe for Blackberry Fool.

2 cups fresh blackberries

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp fresh lemon juice

2 cups heavy cream

1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract.

1. Blend berries, sugar and lemon juice. Pour mixture through sieve.

2. Combine cream and vanilla and whip until stiff peaks form. Gently fold 1/2 of berry puree into cream. Spoon mixture into custard cups. Cover loosely and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight.

3. To serve drizzle the remaining puree and garnish with a few fresh blackberries.

So my question is can I use chocolate toasting cups in place of custard bowls. If so dark chocolate or milk chocolate? Should I refrigerate them overnight in the toasting cups or wait until it is ready to be served?

Any Ideas?

  1. Oh, yes!!! that would be best. I would do half and half. Half dark chocolate and half milk chocolate.

And I would fill the choco cups the night before and refrigerate so you don't get rushed in the morning. They won't melt or anything like that so it is fine.

That sounds like I want to come to the party and have some of your dessert myself!!
