Can I use cleats when I go hiking in the rainforest (Monteverde) ?

I'm going to Costa Rica. While I'm there I will be going to Monteverde and hiking in the rainforest. Can I use cleats there? Or would it be better to wear sneakers?

Yeah dude no. Cleats are NOT good hiking shoes. They lack support, and not only will your feet get sore, but they will have no friction.

Use hiking boots!!!
