I've used the $40 coupon and I've bought the DTV converter box. The old, brown , insulation on my outdoor antenna has deteriorated. Can I replace the old wire with coaxial and happily receive TV signals?

  1. Yes.. You can buy a Matching Transformer at Radio Shack for about 5 bucks...It converts the flat wire to coax cable.

  2. There are converters from the old two-wire antenna systems to coax readily available. Try Radio Shack.

  3. just match the OHMs of the antenna.

  4. yes you can.  You will probably get a better signal.  Than that old brown flat wire.  That was on there to begin with.
