Can I use construction adhesive to glue ceramic tiles outdoors? Instead of grout?

I have a small patch outdoors that I want to put just 3 ceramic tiles. I was wondering if construction adhesive would be stronger hold? Or should I use grout?

I assume grout breaths so it's better for not trapping moisture once it gets in? Or is it ok to use construction adhesive?

  1. I wouldn't use grout, I would use thinset.  It also depends on if you are putting the tiles on a verticle surface or table versus the floor.  If you are putting them on a walking surface, use thinset, if it's anywhere else, I don't see why a construction adhesive wouldn't work.
