The ones that have the oil holder then the candle underneath? Or do you have to use a special kind of oil, the home fragrance oils that you buy at like Bath and Body?

  1. What you describe is a duftlamp. It disperses oils that are too thick for a diffusor with heat rather than an air pump.

They are intended for use with essential oils. Synthetics are known to be responsible for a myriad of health problems, from endocrine disruption to environmental because they persist in the environment.

You should add some water to the reservoir with the essential oils to keep them from burning. They should just be warmed to disperse and never burned.

  2. It will work best if you add a base to the essential or fragrance oil, If not, the scent will burn off quick and will not last.
