  1. A fax machine runs on an ordinary landline or telephone line. Just plug it into the powerpoint, plug it into the phone socket and you are in business.

  2. Hi,

Yes the work on a normal line with out too many issues. Remember that if it's running Broadband ADSL the Fax will require an ADSL filter.

Also incoming calls can be a problem with a fax on a voice line, as when you get a fax coming in, you will here a loud screech on the line, you then need to turn on the fax machine and unless your quick you will miss the fax.

To leave the fax machine on give you the other problem! - A call will be answered by the fax and get a loud Screech in their ear.

You can by a device called a TAM this is meant to switch the call to the fax if it's a fax. - but they are not very reliable.

This is why some people who need to receive faxes put them on there own lines.

If you are just sending then none of the able is a problem, and if your only getting a small volume of incoming faxes then I think you could live with it!

    Hope this helps?

  3. You have a fax utility in your pc.

    All programs>Accesories>Communications>Fax

Why dont you just run it off that? It will work through whichever phoneline you run your broadband connection off.

  4. you can use it on a regular line...you cannot receive calls while faxing so if this is a problem.(like in a business setting) then a separate or dedicated fax line needs to be installed.  If it is for personal use only then a single phone line will be enough.

  5. You can use it on a normal line

  6. yes you can do so! Dont need a seperte or special line for Fax~
