Can I use hair for weaving for my braids?

Wanna get micros next weekend but love the way the hair sits in this pic - but it's for weaving. Can't I just buy it for my braids and cut it off at the tracks??

Yes, it works well if you're doing really small braids and you purchase hair that is 18 inches or longer.
