I want to create a hammered copper look without the expense of real copper. Water would cascade over a portion of the frame.

  1. today they have some wonderfull  paints to choose from

however,   use a good  primer ........   and use  two light coat of paint ,

sounds cool ..... ive used  walmart paint

      cheap   but work well.....

one more thought ,    to make it look like copper , use the  matt finish  not the bright  colors. they look   false .  and you dont want that do u ?

  2. I think this might work.  The stuff from Rustoleum is excellent.  Paint on stone tends to hold up well since there is no expansion or contraction.  If you are painting tile, if it is shiny, be sure to sand off any sheen so the paint has something to bite into.
