For example, If I have 5 "save 35 cents" coupons on a certain product, can I use them all even if I only buy one?

I always see people going through the self-checkout lane with $100 worth of groceries and a handful of coupons and they walk out paying $15-20. I can't figure out how they do this.

  1. No. Look at the fine print on your coupon; it will usually say something like "One coupon per customer", "One coupon per item" or "Coupon not valid with other coupons for the same item".

And with modern cash registers, the register won't allow multiple coupons for the same item even if the clerk was willing to do it.

If you want to know how the coupon experts do what they do, see:

  2. no sorry you can only use 1 coupon per item, I doubt that any shop would allow this as (more than once use) as they would loose a lot of money

  3. I can tell this is a major dilemma  so I hope my answer reaches you in time! No! You can't use more than one at a time!
