  1. Yes it should since it has a pulse logo.  However, in the U.S. it is limited to 4 withdraws per month for savings.   The store must take pulse logo.  Your bank may or may not charge you a fee for this transaction.

  2. In my country, ATM cards with the logo "BankCard" can be used as a debit card. If it's inconvenient to go to your bank, then go to one of the retailers, show the cashier your ATM card and ask him if your card is a debit card or not.

  3. nope! it wont work. Try getting to your bank and open a checking acount and ask for a debit card. It will usually take up to a week.

  4. atm cards are solely for atm withdrawals and deposits only. only a checking account has a debit card which can be used for purchases as well as atm transactions.

the reason why atm cards shouldn't be used for point of sales transactions is because it is linked to a savings, which is an interest bearing account. And as federal policy, interest bearing account have limited transactions per statement cycle.

If you try to use the card, it might be blocked by your bank's fraud dept or it might go through, but then because acct is limited to certain transactions like funds transfer or point of sales, you can be assessed of excess activity charges or account can be possibly closed if it continuously exceeds the bank's transaction limits.

  5. If it has a chip on there then give it a go! MOst they can say is its declined!! WOO

  6. In the US, you could potentially use your ATM card in a store as long as they actually take “debits.” Grocery stores for example take both debit cards and credit cards. Retail stores, restaurants, those places typically don’t. If you use your basic ATM card you use it with PIN access. It is called a Point of Sale or POS charge. That’s the card side.

Most banks however, restrict POS from savings so if you have it only to a savings it may not work. More importantly, there is usually a daily POS limit significantly lower than a debit/check card. Usually $300-$500 regardless of your balance. Lastly, they can charge you a POS fee of approximately 0.30 per transaction. So, overall, even if you can do it, it is just not such a good idea.

  7. NO, you can't use ANY ATM card as a debit card.  You can use ANT debit card at an ATM.  ALL debit cards have a Visa or MasterCard logo.

  8. It most likely depends on if the card has a Visa, Mastercard, or some other logo on it. If it does, then you can pretty much use it anywhere. If not, you might only be able to use it to withdraw cash from an ATM.
