Hey I have a dumb question... I sometimes where contacts and sometimes where glasses. I have the 30 days disposable contacts. Can I keep them longer than 30 days since I only where them 3-5 days a week?

  1. If you only wear the contacts three to five times a week I would say it would be ok to wear them a little longer but not to long. If you wear them more than thirty days it might affect your eyes and you might get an infection or your eyes might become overworked and tired and dry.

  2. The 30 days is just a general guideline. I suppose it would be fine to wear them for 30 nonconsecutive days. I tend to wear mine more than 30 days because I forget to change them and nothing bad happens. They just say that because as they get older, they tend to build up more deposits that don't go away anymore when stored in solution. Wear them as long as they are comfortable and don't appear to be building up too much deposits. Also, the next time you visit your eye doctor ask them about it!

  3. No, u cannot.

  4. No. Your contacts are made to be worn for a certain amount of time because protein from your eyes will build up on the lenses. This means that the amount of oxygen (which is a source of "food" for your eye) is decreased. This can cause serious problems.
