Question:

Can I use my DAB digital radio in Singapore or India?

I am moving for a few months to Singapore, and then travelling through India for another couple of months, and was wondering if there is any point in taking my DAB radio with me! I bought my radio fairly recently in the UK if that makes any difference. I expect that these countries have at least some radio stations in English, so doubt that is a problem, but wonder if either of them broadcast the digital signals at all.

  1. Singapore has 99% coverage of DAB and there are both commercial and public services on air.

You can find out more here http://www.worlddab.org/country_profile....

  2. They do have DAB, it should work. What you could also do, if you're going for an extended period of time, is get WorldSpace radio, http://www.worldspace.com, its satellite radio for the Eastern Hemisphere. Most of the channels are in English, and I think its pretty good. I know two of Worldspace's channels are on XM, and they're two of XM's best channels.
