  1. NO

Although Scotland is part of the UK (for a little while longer), we have our own Government which funds the Travel Concession Scheme. The Scottish scheme pre-dates that in England by two years. Since England would not accept the Scottish card for travel in England, it is not surprising the Scotland does not accept the English cards.

The one exception to this is that journeys starting on one side of the border can be completed on the other side.

For example, from Carlisle, an English pensioner can take the 79 to Dumfries, the 382 to Moffat, the X95 to Edinburgh, the 112 to Newcastleton or the X75 to Stranraer. (However, I hear that there are moves to alter some of the cross-border services so that they terminate at Gretna Gateway, to prevent English Concession travel in Scotland!)

  2. Like i have always said, the UK,

The Union of the UK is not very United is it?

The UK England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland,

  3. Pensioners get discounted travel here, so you can certainly use it as ID for a one way fare concession i.e. paying cash but less than full fare.

  4. I do not think so. Pensioner's passes in Scotland are funded by the Scottish Government, and can't be used in England, so I guess the converse applies.

  5. unfortunately you cant use an english pass there only in england hope this helps you

  6. If you are resident in England and are aged 60 or over you are entitled to England-wide concessionary bus travel.

Scotland and Wales have their own schemes.
