Can I use my GI Bill money to study in another country, like New Zealand?

I'm getting out soon and want to move to New Zealand. Would a degree from NZ transfer back to the US if I wanted to move back for some reason? Thanks!

  1. Hi,

I'm a NZer, so can help a little from a NZ perspective. :-)

    1. I don't think that your GI Bill money would work here. (I'm guessing that it is something an American uni gets from your govt?)

    2. Yes, degrees transfer back to the US. Some of our univs even have exchange programmes for a year (& you still get a NZ degree). Eg the University of Auckland has exchange programmes with some top US universities eg

William and Mary School of Law , University of California, and University of Hawai'i.
