    just take care putting in the amount as its easy to ask for too much by putting in too many 0's.

  8. Yes, but if you open an account with Nationwide no charge is made on overseas cash withdrawals.

  9. Yes you can but many debit cards accure up to three separate charges when used abroad.Only Nationwide is totally free,Credit cards are cheaper to use.

    Exchange rate. you will have no choices on this if you choose the card and it will most probably be higher than other exchange outlets and methods.

    Cash withdrawl payment. Up to 2.5% of amount.

  11. Yes, you can use it to get cash, but Nationwide will be cheaper as there are no charges.

    Frank- DO NOT USE CREDIT CARDS TO GET CASH, it is very expensive. Some Credit cards can be cheaper for purchases, but only use debit cards to get cash.

  12. Yes.  Lloyds TSB will impose a charges of about 3%.  (It may appear as a charge in your bank statement or it might be hidden as a lousy exchange rate).

    If you open a Nationwide Flexaccount (you can do it online and don't have to close your Lloyds TSB account) you can use their debit card in foreign ATMs and just the sterling equivalent at a commercial exchange rate gets debited to your account.
