Can I use my TomTom or any other type of GPS navigation in Morocco reliably?

I want to rent out a car and i don't know the country well, I'm going to use it mostly in the big cities.

  1. I have quite a good Sat nav, but it didnt work on the streets of Morocco. It recognised Gibraltar, then showed only the sea.

    It is very difficult to find maps of Morocco on the gps. Look on google ther may be something there to help, though googlemaps show the larger areas of Morocco, there are many unnamed little streets. I think it will be very difficult to find.

  3. Yes the GPS will work in Morocco reliably if you have the updated maps for your device.

    You can most likely find some free, user created maps on the internet.
