Can I use my UK TomTom in Australia?

Next year Im planning on hiring a campervan to drive from Melbourne to Sydney along the coast. If I was to buy a SD card with an Australian map for my TomTom (seen them on ebay) - will it be as simple as swapping the UK map to the Australian Map for it to work?

I use an Australian TomTom in Australia.  Just download (and pay for) the maps.

Yes, all you have to do is download the maps. If you don't know how, go into the shop you bought the TomTom from and they'll show you.
