Can I use my digital camera as a Web Cam?

I have a Canon Powershot SD750 and i was told that my perticular camera could serve as a digital camera...is this true?

if so how can i use it or what accessories do i have to buy?

No, you can't use your camera as a webcam.

You need remote capture in order to convert to webcam, your model does not support remote shooting/capture.
