I am on vacation in the Philippines and the voltage here is 220. I am not sure whether i can use my straightener here. On the wire it says something about 300V and I'm not sure what that means. Can i use my straightener here?

  1. You need to go to an electronic store to purchase a voltage converter just to be safe.

If you're in a hotel, ask one of the clerks in the lobby for where to buy one. If you're staying with relatives or a friend, then I'm sure one of them will know where to buy one.

    Dont fry your hair!

  2. If you are from the US, the voltage here is 110V, so no.  Ask your hotel if they have a converter.
