(UK question)

I have a BT Synergy 2150 telephone/answering machine with three handsets. These can't send text messages, and only receive them as electronic voice messages (usually pretty hard to understand!). Please does anyone know if I can add a more modern GAP-compatible phone (I like the look of the Synergy 4500 but recommendations welcome) which can send and receive texts, or will text messages still come through in electronic voice format? Many thanks.

  1. Yes you can they both work on DECT so you and add the handset you want to the base station.

If your handset is SMS compatible it will deliver like a mobile phone, if you do not have the service than it will deliver as a voice call.

They Synergy 4500 is a good looking handset they will do the business for you.

    Hope this helps
