Can I use one USB cord for two iPods?

I have two iPods but only one USB cord at the moment, can I use the one cord for both iPods.

And yes, I know this probably sounds dumb but I want to make sure so I don't s***w up my iPods.

    you just obviously can't plug them both in at the same time with one cord.
