Can I use only one converter box for two TVs? Also, which one would be a good one to buy?

I do not have cable or satellite. I mostly watch TV online, but sometimes, I use antennas. When I want to have a clear picture on a specific channel, let’s say NBC or CBS, I have to position the antenna in the right way. So I use one antenna and one little TV per channel so I don’t have to fuss with the antenna…I just watch on the next TV. Each TV has a VCR so I can even record programs on VHS.

I just received the two $40 coupons to buy converter boxes…

Will I need one converter box per TV or can I use only one converter box for two TVs?

Also, which one is the best? So many brands…so many models!!!

I use a GESmart Digital Converter Box 22729.

I also installed a GE amplified quantum antenna HD3.

     People say that an analog antenna works as well as digital antenna. I tried my old analog antenna but signal is week, I tried a cheap digital inside antenna it was to weak, I tried an a digital amplified antenna it was better But this new antenna which is a smart antenna works real well.

              I had a RCA analog and digital converter box the picture woudn't stay on very long .I tried my new box the signal is very high on must channels and I can get 49 channels.

If you want to watch two different stations then you will need 2 boxes. If you don't mind having the same station on each tv, then you can use one box with a splitter. Your remote won't work from the second room though so you'll have to get up and go into the room with the box to change the station. Since your tv stations are week, you will probably need a rooftop antenna. The digital transmissions are weaker than the analog.

If you decide to go with one box, you'll need a splitter and coax cable running from the box to both tv's. This may mean running the cable along the floor or (better) having it installed through the wall. Best idea is to buy 2 boxes.

The LG (Zenith DTT900) is probably the best.
