  1. Yes but as mentioned above use the metal inserts to stop the pipe from collapsing over time!(they pop into the pipe, before you push on the connections.)

  2. The rest of the answers are right. ALWAYS use the inserts with plastic pipe.

Avoid using the 'white' pipe you can buy from DIY stores - it's not that great.

Quality brands are 'Hep2o' from Hepworth or Osma 'Gold' but no pipe system is any good if its fitted badly - cut plastic pipe with the proper tool, NOT A HACKSAW.

Read the manufacturers literature before using - they do have websites.

  3. yes!

  4. Yes of course.

But I think you have to use pipe inserts according to the site below.

  5. Yes ....

  6. Depends if its the right size pipe (15mm or 22mm anything bigger looks awfull if on show or can be seen)

Pushfits are great if they arent on show (they are a bit on the chunky side)

I have used pushfits on both copper pipe and plastic pipe, only time I have used the inserts is when I'm using a compression fitting to pick up on the plastic pipe

If plastic pipe is to be used on show it will sag if you dont use more clips than are usual (even more with hot water or heating and looks awful)

Pushfits cant be used on chrome pipe either, unless tyou remove the chrome and even then its dicey

  7. of course you can ..and dartmoors right ..you MUST fit inserts into pipe
