Question:

Can I use "See you Next Tuesday" at a poetry reading/slam? Any bad responses?

Poets, If this is a ridiculous question I have no idea, sorry.

I have a great poem, and I use the c-word for the last line. It is a very powerful line it is used in way as far as I'm concerned no one has really thought of to do yet, it is very graphic yet not in a sexual or violent way.

I'm worried about backlash - it's not using it for "using it's sake"

have any of you poets been booed at a slam for using controversial words (at this point the f word won't make my grandmother blush)

please share stories, shed light

  1. It would distract from whatever you are trying to say.

  2. I would try showcasing one of my less controversial poems if I were you. However, if these are mature poets, they should understand
