Question:

Can I use short needles in pine needle tea?

I recently read an article on pine needle tea, and was intrigued. I want to try it, but all I can find at the moment is the kind of pines with the short, stiff, pointy needles, not white or red pine or the long flimsy ones like that. In all the pictures I saw about making it showed long needles. What I'm wondering is, will it work with short needles? Is it still healthy? Will it taste the same?

  1. The first site below said that almost any variety of pine needles will work - when they are fresh and green (don't dry them out).
