Can I use sinigang mix for tom yum goong?

I have about 10 packets of Knorr's Sinigang mix. (Aka tamarind soup base)

Does anyone have any recipes or links?

It would be find to use the knorr mix but make sure to use a little bit at first to see if you like the taste. I use it to make a lot of thai soup and it always turns out great.

I got the idea from my mom who is Thai and she does it all the time as well.

no, tom yum soup has more of a sour taste then the sinigang soup mix. so i don't think it will taste right.BTW isn't sinigang Philippino food? and tom yum is Thai. Philippino food taste nothing like Thai so i don't think its a good idea!

You can use it, to sour the soup. That's what my Thai friend suggested when I couldn't find tamarind paste here in the Philippines.
