Can I use teabags with a cafetiere teapot?

I prefer the look of a cafetiere teapot to a usual pottery teapot - is it ok to use teabags with the cafetiere instead of loose tea? Will it still do more or less the same thing?

Cheers

  1. Sure, that's fine. I'd recommend investing in some good loose leaf tea though!

  2. yes use t bags

  3. Yeah it'll be fine but a bit pointless! That's what the tea bag is there for, to do the same job as the cafetiere plunger.

Would be better with loose tea leaves in it.

  4. It will work.  A bit belt and braces though.

If you're going to use a filter teapot, try leaf tea - it tastes much better.

  5. Yes, you can - it's just that it defeats the purpose of the cafetiere ! ! !

  6. YES! Yes!
