Don't worry about it.  You're better off buying a true webcam for ease of use.  The camera can't be plugged in via USB and used as a webcam.  (Which is what the majority of people that ask this question want to know.)

But if you want to use it as a web cam, it can be done.  You do it by using the video out port on the camera.  Make sure your camera is set up for either NTSC or PAL depending on the video input of your computer.  Your computer may not have a video input, so if that's the case, you need to buy a regular webcam.  If it does, the webcam software should see a WIA interface for your computer's video input.
