Can I use the speaker wire in a 1995 Maxima w/ Bose as speaker wire in an aftermarket?

I have a 1995 Maxima w/ Bose audio. I've shorted out two of the amps (not my fault people before us had some really bad wiring jobs, and I didn't see it till after they shorted out). But anyway, I was wondering if I could use the speaker wire going to the Bose amps, bypass the amps and connect the speaker wire straight to the speaker. I'm sure its possible but how high of a quality is that speaker wire?

(I want to get an aftermarket stereo and bypass all 4 amps completely using this method.)

Yes you can. This is the usual method.

The wire quality is good enough. Same as any other 16 gauge.
