Can I use the stereo speakers from my old stereo (it's dead)... to add to my TV ..so I can hear above my AC?

If so how do I connect my RCA TV to these Boston speakers ? Do I use stereo wire, or those black 3 prong cable type?

Normal tv's don't have the power to run speakers directily.  With that being said, the only way this will work is if you have prongs on the back of the tv that specifically say "speakers out".  

Believe me.  If you can't hear your tv now, you won't hear it by hooking up speakers without a stereo set up.
