I don't have a dechlorine conditional for reptiles but I have a Aqua Plus Tap Water Conditional. I think is only for fish...but can I also use it for turtle?

Here is a picture of it...

  1. Yes although dechlorination isn't really necessary for turtles like it is for fish.  Chlorine even at the level that pools have won't harm a turtle (but there are several other reasons why letting a turtle in a pool is a bad idea).

The only thing you would actually need to treat the water for would be heavy metals or other contaminants.  Treating for chlorine won't hurt the turtle but it doesn't really have any benefits either.

  2. when you are conditioning your water you are just decreasing some of the "bad" chemicals that are in the water.  you are not actually doing anything for the fish as far as vitamins or anything like that.  basically you can almost drink it because it has taken out a lot of the metals.  anyways it is okay.  i do the same thing to condition the water when doing water changes. i have fish and two turtles.
