Can I use this radio without upgrading my speakers?

Question

I just got a 1997 Toyota Camry that has a factory installed bottom of the line sound system. The radio I want to put in it has "50W x 4 peak power." (It's a JVC iPod-Controlling Car Stereo Model KDPDR40). Can the standard speakers handle this radio? I am a poor college student and don't want to have to buy new speakers.

yes you can just dont expect them to sound as good as new one would, and just dont try to crank it as loud as you want it they will just distort...

yes they should handle it, just keep the bass turned down, it will sound like c**p and blow ur speakers, then u will have no choice but to have to buy new ones.
