Hey there, so I was wondering, tomorrow is going to be laundry day for hte saddle pads. xD I was wondering, can I use your normal tide? I have a Heat effciante or something washer, so I have to use detergents with a HE logo, so I have tide, I was wondering, could I use it? Or will it irritate my horses skin?

  1. of course but don't leaver any in there

  2. Certainly, you can use Tide, just rinse very well.

  3. I stick to the gentlest soap I could find....Woolite; The others, laundry detergents, (if there is any residue left)can burn a hole in horsehide.  I won't risk it.

  4. Tide do a free and clear version without scent etc and that is the best to use because Tide gets out stains really well but the scent can cause skin problems in some horses. The free and clear was developed for people with allergies to the scents and chemicals. I think it comes in a cream/white bottle as opposed to the usual orange.
