I am looking into cars that run off of veg oil. Can you name some cars that this will work with? Also any links or experiences you can share with me will be great!! I want to be more green. Plus, I cant afford gas anymore. Will veg oil be a good option or will it mess with the car later? Can I buy cars that are already veg oil modified? Where would I look? thanks

  1. any spark ignited gasoline engine cannot run on veggy oil.

it must be a diesel engine and slight mods are required.

  2. I don't know about the BMW 635CSi, but the answer is easy enough: If the car runs on diesel fuel it can run on some types of vegetable oil and on all types of biodiesel, which is converted vegetable oil or animal fat. If you use raw or recycled veggie oil, be really careful about filtering out bits and pieces. You might check for details at www.biodiesel.org

If your car runs on gasoline, use the veggie oil to stir fry and keep it far, far away from the car's fuel system.

  3. hi check this link its good

    .

  4. any diesel car will work

for instructions on how to do the modifications, look at the book "from the fryer to the fuel tank", it contains them.

  5. Any car that runs on diesal can run on vegtible oil, you just have to use special filtration for the vegtible oil and make slight modifications to the cars engine. However I beleive there are kits you can purchase online to make your run on vegtible oil. If I find a websight to buy one from ill post it later.

Heres a sight to purchase a grease kit that can be selcted by model and make http://greasecar.com/kit_detail.cfm?prod...

In fact all models and makes of BMWs can use vegtible oil. As long as the car takes diesle.

If your not auto savy ill see if there are any people you can hire to do it for you.

  6. No you can not.  You have BMW's 3.4L 6 cyl gasoline engine.  If you are set on using vegetable oil, sell the 635 and buy a 528td.

The engine must be a diesel to use biodiesel or vegetable oil.

Once you get that far, post again and I'll help you get it running on vegetable oil.  I have 4 diesels and use biodiesel and vegetable oil in all of them.

If you are not a die hard BMW fan, you can still get good german cars like the VW Jetta diesel, and Mercedes 300d, 300SD, and 240d.

Any diesel that is pre-1989, and preferabally pre-1985 will make your life a lot easier in the long run, as the older engines used lower injection pressures and used pre combustion chambers, allowing them to run on a wide range of fuels.

Basically you will not have to thin the oil as much with excess filtering, heating and processing.

Good luck getting a diesel.  We hope to hear from you soon.
