Can I visit UK if I have been arrested for "drinking & driving"?

I am a South African Citizen & was arrested for "drinking & driving". Obviously I was over the legal limit but not my own limit... Am I allowed to visit the UK with my boyfriend who is a British Citizen?

yeah you can. They don't take stuff like that into consideration...unless you want to rent a car.

of course you can!

you just wont be able to rent a car or be legally allowed to drive over here. If your conviction is over 5 years ago though i think you may be able too...not 100% on that though!!!

yes , no problem you would think , however , if you need a visa and the powers that be object to you entering because of your conviction then you may have to contend the objection , spent conviction details , rehab . held clean licence since .

Of course you can.   Also, you can drive in the UK on your SA drivers licence, which does not record your misdemeanor(s).

Unfortunately yes, but you can't hire a car or drive if you are band.
