ok I am south american and my boyfriend is English. We are very much in love and but we're not getting married at the moment. I am only planning to visit him and his family for Christmas and new year and i'm staying for 4 weeks only. I have been to the UK once before( when i still hadn't met him) and I don't need a visa to get in as a tourist. I was wondering whether the immigration officers will get suspicious with me because he is my boyfriend. i don't intend to stay illegally nor marrying illegally either, i only want to be with him for the holidays. We plan to marry one day but not now, I have things to arrange here first...will there be any problem?

  1. why would you have to tell them your visiting a boyfriend, won't they just think your on holiday, especially if you have a return ticket.

  2. Nope.

Also, you could've contacted you boyfriend and asked him, unless it is secret in some way.

  3. You should have no problems - just tell them you are visiting friends....don't mention a boyfriend and don't look nervous!

  4. You need to check with the local British embassy or consulate in your area.  They will tell you whether you need a visa or not.

Why are you afraid of saying that you're staying with your boyfriend's family?  The U.K. isn't THAT backwards.

  5. No you won't have any problems my husband lives over here and I had to come and visit him and they let me through with no problems!!! Don't worry!! But I do know how you feel cuz I was really scared too the first time I came and I totally had word vomit and probably said to much ahaha !!!

  6. COURSE YOU CAN!

why would anybody be worried you are seeing your boyfriend. Loads of people do that. It's not as if the immigration officers would be interested to know. It's a little holiday you're taking thats all just like everyone else
