Can I volunteer for Search and Rescue?

Question

I live in Eastern, PA. I'm 15 (6'2", 160 pounds, good physical condition) in good, and I have a good amount of knowledge in navigation and orientation and a little in wilderness first aid. I really want to join as I sometimes almost feel obligated to help those in need. But I have three questions. Can I join at my age? Do they provide training? And do they provide transportation? I know the last one is probably know, but I would probably really need transportation. Not so much for the meetings and trainings, but for the actually real deal. Thanks.

Check into the Civil Air Patrol.  They do Search and Rescue, among other things.  I am sure that there is a branch by you.  

My son joined when he was 15, and he loves it!
