Can I walk from Melbourne University to Royal Childrens Hospital in Parkville or do i need to take a bus?

As a tourist, I want to see the University and likewise do some personal business in RCH in a day.Thanks!

  1. Assuming you don't have any mobility problems, the Royal Children's Hospital is an easy walk from The University of Melbourne's Parkville campus. I'd guess a 10 or 15 minute walk, depending whereabouts on campus you start out from.


  2. Yes, as the others said, it's a shortish walk. If you have to carry a lot of books I'd wear a backpack.   What's more it's a very pleasant walk along leafy Royal Parade and past the handsome terrace houses of Parkville.

  3. It is less than a ten minute walk from the northern part of Melb Uni to the RCH. Walk north up Royal Parade to Gatehouse Street, turn left, and the RCH is about 5 minutes away.

    No buses go that way and trams would take longer than walking.
