Can I watch American movies on a dvd player in mexico?

hello, I recently went to mexico(on the border) and i noticed alot of dvd's were region 1 and 4. I have been buying dvds but i would like to be able to play them in Mexico when i go back again. Is there any way to do this? Do the dvd players on the border normally play region 1 and region 4?

yes it will work all of, North America; U.S. territories; Bermuda are dvd region 1.

I believe so I bought a different kind of DVD player cuz i buy DVD's from different countries but idk 'bout Mexico

i am not sure of region code but if you look online most dvd players can be unlocked to play all regions

google "unlock dvd region code" on google.com then try find your dvd player

and follow instructions
