Can I watch the new perseid meteor shower in Nevada?

Las Vegas to be exact. Please, I want to watch it but i'm not sure where to look. It's very hot here and the skies are clear.

I went to Valley of Fire tonight (near Lake Mead) around midnight but the moon made it hard to see the meteors.  I only saw four or five in a ten minute period.  But I did find this. Check it out!

If you go out tonight or tomorrow night you are going to have to get away from the city to really see anything.  Goodluck!

All you need is a dark sky. I think we're passed the peak now, but there should still be plenty of meteors for the next few days.

Look up at the sky and be patient.

ive seen 4 already!

yes, you should be able to see shooting stars this morning.  between 2-5 is a great time to watch.  i saw 44 this morning between 230-5 and most were big and bright!  Look in the NE.  i am in Lockport, NY near niagara falls.  hope you get to see alot!
