Can I wear bike tights underneath the padded bike shorts?

Does it looks funny? I am ridding mountain bike, and I don't want to get too much tan, so I am trying to cover up. Thanks

Not sure what you mean by "bike tights underneathe padded bike shorts".  

Do you mean your wearing padded shorts under padded shorts?  That seems a bit much, if that's the case.  

Tights will give you a funny tan-line.  Padded biking shorts will too.  not sure how you're going to avoid that one.

Best  wear the  tights OVER the shorts to avoid irritation of the skin and saddle sores.  The seat pads of shorts are designed to be worn next to the the skin.   How it looks depends on the style of the tights I guess.

You could always try a high factor sun cream on the legs.

If you're wearing baggy bike shorts, I think it would look a bit awkward.

But bike tights underneath lycra / nylon padded shorts would look alright.

I'm a biker here in the Philippines, and being a tropical country, I encounter a lot of cyclist who wear bike tights to minimize sun exposure.
