Question:

Can I wear contact lenses when I have astigmatism?

I've researched about toric contact lenses for those with atigmatism. Do every optometrist know about toric lenses? Since I'm living in Australia for another month. I'm going to get my eyes check soon and I just want to have enough information.

- Are contact lenses really dangerous?

- Are toric contact lenses made to correct astigmatism?

- What would be the best store to visit for an eye test and toric contact lenses available? (Hopefully in Sydney)

It would be nice if anyone of you would give me some websites about information mainly about toric contact lenses and atigmatism?

Thanks. xx

  1. yes! I have a horrible astigmatism and wear contacts all the time... You just have to go through a few fittings before finding the right fit. I went through 3 pairs before I found the right fit, but a really good optpmetrist will help you...

  2. Your Optometrist should be able to advice you on which contact lenses that could correct your astigmatism.

Every qualified Optometrist know about toric lenses. Go get your eye check and clear any doubt you have with your optometrist.
